Of Kiasu-ism and Education

In one of my entrepreneurial conversations, I was challenged by my American mentor to marry two totally different industries to bring out new ideas. For example, coffee and automobile industry. Or diving and Virtual World (I’ll leave this rather interesting thought process for another time)

In Singapore, by the force of nature, (actually, it is more of human wills), Education evolved to go hand in hand with Kiasu-ism. Of course, I’m in no position to judge nor comment, but I certainly find the merger of Education and Kiasu-ism an interesting phenomenon.

Also, off the top of my head, there are also other such interesting trends as Education & Entrepreneurship (an oxymoron some might say), Education & Food, Education & Entertainment.
